For those who don’t want to eat out, the market Mercado 25 de Abril offers a great selection of local vegetables, fruits, fish and meat. It is open Mon-Sat from 8 am – 1 pm.

The garden of the ice cream parlour Gelateria Alice is a green oasis of peace. Here you can enjoy good café, delicious ice cream and little cakes. If you need a little refreshment after the beach, or if you prefer something heartier, we recommend the great foccacias.
Pau de Pita
Not far from Mareta beach there are a few bars that invite you to party on weekends. But also during the day you can enjoy the snacks and drinks on the roof terrace of Pau de Pitas.
Dory
Dory is a crazy bar that also offers a few dishes to eat. The interior reminds of a student’s living room. Besides cheap beer, you can play games here. The place is especially known for chess tournaments.
Arte Bianca
Arte Biance serves pizza from the stone oven. You can choose between classic pizzas (9-11 €) and gourmets pizzas (up to 16 €). Also great to take away!
